Abstract :
This paper discusses trends in motor design and the effects on manufacturers and equipment suppliers. Faster, smaller motors, as well as slower, larger motors, are being considered. The result is that manufacturers will have to deal with stronger materials and windings with multiple strands of high quality magnet wire
