Abstract :
The light absorption by the semiconductor quantum well with infinite walls in the constant electric field is studied. Optical transitions between the levels of the electron size quantization in the conduction band are considered. On the basis of exact orthonormalized wave functions of the electron in the constant electric field in the quantum well analytical expressions for the oscillator strength and absorption coefficient are obtained
