Knowledge has been recognized as the most important resource in an organization. Most studies explore the effect of trust and knowledge sharing in terms of cooperation, while few discuss both cooperative and competitive situations. This research adopts an experimental method to understand the status of knowledge sharing when people are involved in cooperative and competitive situations. Consequently, the result reveals that trust does affect knowledge sharing when employees are involved in cooperative situation; however, it is not significant in competitive situations.
