Abstract :
This paper presents a cost analysis of electric energy storage in an electric system. Some of the most typical energy storage technologies are considered in the analysis. The results are referred to the whole life cycle of the storage system. Finally, the results are expressed in terms of the total cost of discharged electrical energy, taking into account the production cost of the electric energy used for storage.
