Abstract :
The deformation due to magnetic forces and magnetostriction can be computed on the basis of the magnetoelastic equations derived in previous papers. This paper focusses on two aspects of this computation method, viz the magnetic couple density, which can be represented by equivalent volume and surface force densities, and magnetoelastic interactions, i.e. the interaction between the magnetic and elastic behaviour of the material.
