Abstract :
This paper presents the design and implementation of an integrated digital filter for ambulatory ECG monitoring. The requirements given by the standard IEC60601-2-47 which covers ambulatory ECG equipment are met. The filter is designed to follow a three bit delta sigma modulator and includes 512 times decimation. Measurements show that the average stop band attenuation is above 70 dB. The use of half band sub filters offers the possibility to move the decimation in front of them and hence reduce the power consumption. The power consumption of the filter is 2.7 muW at 51.2 kHz system clock
