Abstract :
A scheme for the totally error controlled simulation of three-dimensional transient magnetic field problems is presented, combining lowest order Whitney finite elements with Zienkiewicz-Zhu-type gradient recovery error estimators for spatial mesh adaptivity with higher order embedded SDIRK schemes for adaptive time step selection. Numerical results are presented for a magnetoquasistatic benchmark example.
