Abstract :
A new scheme for power measurement at mains frequencies is presented. It consists of a single sampling voltmeter, double signal generator with trigger circuitry, current and voltage transformers, current shunt and time interval counter. Time interval counter is used to reduce jitter which is introduced within sampling voltmeter. Sampling voltmeter is also used to measure the magnitude of voltage and current.
