Abstract
Evaluation is an essential step in the process of the design and development of a computer game system. By it, the defect of the system can be found immediately. So it directly decides the quality of a computer game. In the evaluation of the computer games, Usability Evaluation is a core content. Being lack of the relative theory and practice in China Mainland, introducing the quite perfect foreign study experience about the Usability Evaluation for the computer games is necessary. Aiming to arouse the domestic researchers´ concern to the Usability Evaluation, this paper demonstrates the foreign research progresses about the conception of the usability of the computer game, methods of heuristics design, usability evaluation methods, the comparative studies and performance evaluation on the usability evaluation methods. Finally, the trend of the study of usability evaluation methods for the computer games is analyzed.
