  • Abstract
    The upper EtherNet-EtherNet/IP on the NetLinx system of Rockwell Automation and its application layer protocol CIP message were analyzed for EtherNet/IP network smart node to be developed or EtherNet/IP to be achieved. EtherNet/IP communication mechanism in which CIP message was used for EtherNet/IP to Correspond with was explained and CIP encapsulation format was illustrated. EtherNet/IP network data was collected by using CIPAlyzrODVA and Ethernet TCP/UDP network data packets were captured and analyzed by using TCP DUMP, and the quesions should be pay attention to in process of actual data collectted. How EtherNet/IP and CIP were achieved specificly were showed by analysising data of the actual message communicating between Rslinx and Flex I/O, RSNetWorx and Flex I/O, ControlLogix and Flex I/O, and Experiment results show that what EtherNet/IP and CIP were understand correct are verified. On this basis, EtherNet/IP network smart node is successfully developed and EtherNet/IP network communication is achieved. The facts show that it is foundation that EtherNet/IP message is analyzed and stood correctly for EtherNet/IP network smart node to be developed or EtherNet/IP to be achieved.
