Abstract
The PID controller is one of the most widely used in industry. But, the PID controller is susceptible to noise and windup effect. Lead-lag controller is more practical alternatives. The purpose of this paper is using the greedy particle swarm optimization to design lead-lag controller. The proposed cost function includes time-domain specifications directly. Computer simulations show that the performance can be fully meet or very close to desired.
