Abstract :
It is well known that Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) modulated signal has been chosen for the next generation satellite navigation system. The work presented in this paper introduces an improved novel architecture for the tracking loop which is tailored for the alignment of a BOC(1,1) modulated signal. Compared with the architecture described in the work of Fine and Wilson (1999), the proposed one here is able to double tracking accuracy and keeping the overall complexity of the required taps. An unambiguous time-based algorithm for discriminator is introduced in this paper which makes this architecture more realistic.
