Abstract :
The performances of a digital multimeter used as a digitizer are analysed with the aim of using it as a digitizer in measuring the peak voltage of a lightning pulse with high accuracy. The equivalent transfer function of the multimeter was measured and compared with declared specifications of the multimeter itself. The comparison between the measures obtained by the digitizer and by an alternative method is presented.
