Abstract
This paper addresses the control of an induction motor. The approach taken is to design a linear controller based on a linearized model of the motor and to perform singular value loop shaping and robust normalized factors stabilization to optimize system robustness and guarantee a certain level of performance. The model parameters vary significantly during normal operation and exhibit a high condition number which limits the shaping procedure.
