Abstract
In this paper, the effects of the uniaxial anisotropy of the permeability on the resonant frequency and the bandwidth of a rectangular microstrip antenna has been studied. The antenna structure of is defined as follow: substrate; patch; superstrate. The problem is rigorously formulated by using the integral equation based on the dyadic spectral Green´s function. To obtain the complex resonant frequency of TM01 mode, the Galerkin method has been used to solve the integral equation, by choosing sinusoidal basis functions. The results obtained are compared with the isotropic substrate case. The obtained results will serve in future work, for comparison and validation with measurement.
