Abstract :
This paper considers the generalized problem of eigenstructure assignment to optimize some performance robustness measures faced with structured or unstructured perturbations. Two performance robustness measures are derived from existing stability robustness ones, using Kronecker product properties. These new measures are used to formulate an optimization problem of eigenstructure assignment with performance robustness guarantees. In the optimization procedure a performance index is iteratively increased by adjusting the eigenvalues to be assigned to the system. At each iteration, the output feedback matrix is determined to obtain a part of the eigenvalues and some desired eigenvectors. An example is presented to illustrate this procedure of eigenstructure assignment with performance robustness optimization.
