Abstract :
The paper focused on the product knowledge modeling for product family to reuse the product information and configure rapidly product instance for customer requires. The product master structure for product family was introduced in the paper based on design structure matrix (DSM). The hierarchy dependency relationship in product master structure was expressed by the component-based DSM. The tabular layout of article characteristics (ACT) was introduced to model the components and parts. The parametric dependency relationship in the ACT can be expressed by the dependency hyper graph and parameter-based DSM. The transfer between them was also given. The engineer can reuse the product structure information and product design process information. A PMS for the bearing seat of steam turbine was presented.
