Abstract
In this article, a new analytical model is presented to evaluate the availability of IP/MPLS networks with end-to-end resilience implementations. A systematic approach has been developed to analyze network availability based on router failure parameters, link speed and buffer size, and the carried traffic. The proposed method can be applied to more general IP networks with dynamic multilayer resilience schemes.
