Abstract
A GIS-based water supply demand model has been developed in order to estimate the water supply demand. The developed model was used to predict the future water demand of Wujiang City in the year of 2010, 2015 and 2020. The results indicated an increase of about 9.8%, 24.0%, 31.8% in water demand due to future development of Wujiang City. The results show that the water demand model is sufficient enough to be employed to predict water demand in urban areas in Wujiang City.
