Abstract
To predistort a power amplifier nonlinear with memory effects, a triangular memory polynomial (TMP) predistorter is presented based on the traditional memory polynomial predistorter. The coefficients of the predistorter can be directly extracted from an offline system identification process using an open-loop structure. This reduces the implementation complexity of the system. Experimental results show that the adjacent channel power ratio is improved more than 13 dB by utilizing the proposed predistorter. Compared with a traditional memory polynomial predistorter, the proposed TMP predistorter can reduce the number of coefficients efficiently(66% or more).
