Abstract
Three image reconstruction algorithms for electrical capacitance tomography (ECT): linear back projection based on projected Landweber iteration, algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) and simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique (SART) were compared both for image quality and rate of convergence. A model of square sensor with 8 electrodes was employed in this study for experimental evaluation. The capacitance simulation is also described briefly. The experimental results have demonstrated that SART provides the best image quality and the effective rate of convergence.
