Abstract
In the process of image resizing based on mesh deformation, the quality of mesh generated by feature-based mesh algorithm is not very good. In order to improve the quality of triangular mesh characteristic of the image structure, a novel mesh optimization algorithm is proposed which based on local-global iterative scheme. With mesh topology preserved, the algorithm moves node positions in a sense of certain optimality, which seeks to adjust the mesh triangles as equilateral as possible. Constraint conditions can be set to keep certain nodes without being moved. The experimental results demonstrate the validity of the algorithm.
