Abstract
The initial and time-dependent deflection and camber of fully and partially prestressed concrete beams has been investigated by carrying out experimental identical post-tensioned beams having different amount of nontensioned steel for a period over than a year. Assessment of various methods of predicting deflections in partially prestressed beam is also assessed. In the light of the test results, deflections are strongly affected by the presence of nontensioned steel and deflection is predicted by plusmn30% by the reviewed methods [(A.F. Shaikh, 1967), (M.K. Tadros, et al.,), (A.M. Neville, et al., 1983), (L. D. Martin, 1977)]
