Abstract
Several approaches to fuzzy relational databases are analyzed using a logical definition summarized by the authors. The analysis shows that in previous approaches both the data structure and the query management can be considered particular cases of this definition. Two major approaches are the homogeneous model approach and the possibility-based approach. Both the homogeneous and possibilistic approaches are included in a model by means of the data structure and the query language identifications
