Abstract :
This study evaluates the impact of the SCH/PCCPCH power allocation on cell search performance in WCDMA by means of system level simulation. The results indicate that we can obtain a near-optimal cell search performance by allocating a rather small amount of the base station output power to the SCH (Synchronisation CHannel) and PCCPCH (Primary Common Control Physical CHannel) channels
