  • Abstract
We propose a windowed DFT based pilot-symbol-aided channel estimation method for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. This method can reduce the aliasing error of the direct DFT based channel estimation method in the multipath fading channels that have non-sample-spaced path time delays. Furthermore, we compare the proposed channel estimator with the more complex MMSE channel estimator. The performance of the proposed method is close to the MMSE channel estimator
