Practical aspects of the use of a Knowledge Fusion Toolkit in safety applications

This paper describes the experiences and challenges with the application of the Fraunhofer FOKUS Knowledge Fusion Toolkit within the context of a large-scale project, the lessons learned and the performed design changes to establish a distributed and application-independent framework to support decision-making in intelligent assistance, early warning, and security systems.
