Abstract :
Experimental and theoretical investigations on simultaneous generation and transport of two microsecond E-beams with the electron energy 0.8MeV, beam currents up to 3kA at a high current density ~1-1.5kA/cm2 are described in the paper. Peculiarities of using such beams for a generation of mm and submm radiation in free electron maser are discussed. Parameters of the beams suitable for these applications are experimentally demonstrated.
