  • Abstract
A novel dual-polarized coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed right-angled triangle slot antenna for UWB (3.1-10.6 GHz) applications is proposed in this paper. The antenna built on a printed circuit board (PCB) consists of two right-angled triangle radiating elements with two feeding ports. It has a compact size of 56*56 mm2. In order to improve the performance in both of the bandwidth and isolation, two methods are used. The simulated results show that across the 3-10.8 GHz, the presented antenna can achieve a broad impedance bandwidth with good performance in terms of isolation of <;-20 dB. The correlation coefficient between the radiation patterns shows consistent diversity performance across the entire UWB bandwidth. These features make the proposed antenna very attractive for portable UWB Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) applications.
