Abstract :
The applications of time reversal algorithms to microwave imaging and detection have recently attracted much attention. Virtually, all practical media under investigation exhibit random dispersivity and inhomogeneity, leading to cluttered multi-reflections [1]. To the best of our knowledge, although various methods have been proposed to compensate for the breaking of time reversal symmetry in dispersive media and to settle down the complexities aroused by inhomogeneity, the issue of choosing an optimum pulse has not been studied yet to improve resolution [2]. In this paper, we aim to take advantage of the sub-exponential peak-attenuation rate of Double-Brillouin pulse to improve the focusing resolution of time reversal method.
