Abstract :
The new circularly polarized planar printed antenna concept with conical beam is presented. The proposed concept describes a simple printed structure with omnidirectional pattern and maximum gain of about 6 dBi at the elevation angle from 30° to 60°, having features suitable for various commercial applications. VSWR is less than 1.3 in 10% of operational bandwidth while axial ratio (AR) is less than 6 dB in 10% of operational bandwidth and less than 3dB in 5% of operational bandwidth around 4.6 GHz. Experimental results show good agreement with those obtained by simulation.
