Abstract
In this paper, the soft decision decoding method using CSI (channel state information) for DCM that is used for high data rate (320, 400, 480 Mbps) in MB-OFDM (multi-band orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system is investigated. OFDM based on UWB system has been proposed by the MBOA to provide very high data rate wireless communication. And CSI can be used in the soft-decision process to achieve better error correction performance. Moreover, to decrease the loss in diversity, DCM is proposed instead of QPSK. DCM is similar to 16-QAM, but it uses two constellation mapping. Accordingly it needs two decision metric. Therefore DCM has different reliability about the each mapping constellation. So, this paper proposed the soft decision decoding method using CSI according to each priority for DCM.
