Abstract
Considering the storage characteristics of vector digital geographic data, and taking the advantages of the sensitivity of the initial values and parameters of chaos-based system, a compound chaos-based encryption algorithm was proposed for encrypting vector geographic data here, the algorithm presented a stronger and larger space of key, which overcame some disadvantages of single chaos-based encryption algorithm, such as short period, and it is easy to be attacked, etc. The algorithm adopted synchronized structure with two chaos-based logistic maps, which improved the ability of anti-adaptive parameter chaos synchronous attack. The results of the equilibrium property and correlation performance of the sequence generated by this encryption algorithm showed that the encryption algorithm is very secure. At the same time, in order to overcome the weakness of distributions of the key used in the process of encryption, a method was proposed that the key was encrypted with ECC algorithm and then was transmitted together with the ciphertexts by network. The compound chaos-based encryption algorithm introduced in this paper can be widely used for encrypting vector geographic data in the network circumstance.
