This paper studies urban settlements, from the town planning point of view, to explore the spatial environment of crime in urban settlements, and through a wide range of research, analyzes the main reason for crime, sums up insecurity characteristics of the spatial environment, and points out the security planning methods of settlements. Through the design of the spatial environment, this paper wants to create settlements of internal self-protection and defense of space, hoping to provide the basis for safe construction and defense of settlements of the residential environment.
