Abstract
SeaSoar towed vehicles are ideally suited for upper ocean surveys requiring large-area coverage in a short time, or multiple surveys of a small area. This paper describes modifications to standard SeaSoar vehicles required for rapid surveys of two coastal areas. These modifications include an interchangeable wire attachment system, mounting of a bottom-finding altimeter, and remounting of temperature and conductivity sensors for improved data quality
