Abstract
Multimedia communications are the important application field of cluster computing. In order to improve the communication efficiency of cluster, the data communication characteristics of multimedia communications are analyzed, and a communication model with special memory buffer management mechanism is put forward. In the realization of the communication model, the experiment results show that the overheads of memory buffer management are greatly reduced by the static fixed memory allocation mechanism for long data transmission.
