  • Abstract
    Several experiments using the optical transition radiation (OTR) produced by a 100-MeV electron beam are discussed. In using a sensitive video camera coupled with a digital image processing system, an accurate and simple beam profile monitor has been devised. In measuring with a photomultiplier the radiation emitted in a small solid angle around the direction of the OTR emission, a signal very sensitive to beam energy variations has been obtained.<>
