Abstract
Channel selection at the input of RF receivers can considerably relax linearity requirements, leading to low-power, compact implementations. A GSM/WCDMA/802.11b/g receiver incorporates a Miller bandpass filter and its variants to achieve a channel bandwidth from 350 kHz to 20 MHz and a noise figure of 2.9 dB while consuming 20 mW. Fabricated in 65 nm CMOS technology, the receiver withstands a 0 dBm blocker at 20 MHz offset and exhibits a noise figure of 5.1 dB.
