Abstract :
A novel compact dual-polarized slot antenna is proposed and implemented. It is a cavity-backed antenna realized by the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology. The slot is meandered in order to miniaturize the antenna size and the SIW cavity is used to enhance the antenna gain and radiation efficiency. Good dual polarization performance is achieved and demonstrated by good isolation between the two ports and small envelope correlation efficient. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulated data. The proposed antenna exhibits a small size and is able to provide a good efficiency and polarization diversity performance.
