Abstract :
Since vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) normally have a symmetric structure, they show a tendency to exhibit a range of polarization instabilities with variation in bias current and/or when subject to optical feedback. In this paper, we study experimentally the influence of low frequency modulation on the polarization dynamics of VCSELs subject to optical feedback.
