Abstract :
The successful application of morphological operators on several domains, along with the increasing need for processing digital images, have been the main motives behind the efforts concentrated on the morphological model. The morphological model provides a rich set of tools to process digital images: noise reduction, edge detection, segmentation, texture and shape analysis, etc. By defining the inclusion degree and the majority inclusion degree, a new variable precision morphological model is presented in this paper. Comparing with traditional morphological model, this new model is more flexible, and traditional morphological model is a special case for this. In the end, simulation results show that the new model is apparently more effective and more flexible than traditional model.
