Abstract :
In developing countries, there is a feature for nanogrids most likely to be used in small local loads of rural area as they will be more economic than the normal grid power system. Nano grids can operate independently or be connected to the mains and most likely the internal voltage can be utilized as ac or dc. This paper has presented a centralized control strategy for nano grid that allows pico-sources in a DC nanogrid. The control strategy is implemented by limiting the output current of pico-source interface at its maximum power. A model of a nangrid is developed to simulate the operation of the centralized power control. The output voltage of 700 V is maintained for 25kW power generation
