Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel systematic approach to generating elliptic curves cryptography (ECC) coprocessors with customized curve parameters. According to the differences between multiplications, two kinds of coprocessors with same parameters are generated; different coprocessors with their fixed field parameters have similar architectures: parameter-dependent changes are mainly localized to the leaf cells in the datapath and the connection patterns among them. As a result, this approach, providing an easy tradeoff between hardware circuit complexity and security levels, generates coprocessors applied to different information secure systems. 18 coprocessors based on 9 different curves are generated by this approach.
