Spatial query and analysis of tailings management based on GIS

It is popular that new energy resource of the tailing is developed in mining field. This paper discuses the need of tailing management and mainly introduces the tailing resource management system based on GIS of the city of Tangshan, which applies the way of component integrated with Arc Engine and C# computer language. The system makes it possible to build a visual spatially management platform of GIS for tailing resource by means of the combination of spatial data and attribute data. It has some function of spatial querying and spatial analysis for the information of tailing resource on the spatially visual management platform. It is so quick, economical and visual while the user find some tailing information on this platform, which is more efficient in tailing management and can provides a new way for the decision analysis of utilizing tailing resource reasonably.
