President´s message

In this maiden address to all the members of the Antennas and Propagation Society, I wish everybody a happy and a prosperous New Year. It is a great privilege and honor to address you on behalf of the Society. It is also a new year for the Society, and I would like to welcome our new President-Elect, Prof. Roberto Graglia, and elected AdCom members, Profs. Gianluca Lazzi, Lotfallah Shafai, Donald McPherson, and Scott Tyo. It is very important to mention that our Past President, Dr. Trevor Bird, took us through the society review from which we emerged with flying colors. In addition, Dr. Bird also provided a strong leadership in the review of our publications by the IEEE Technical Activities Board corre sponding committee where we also did exceedingly well. We owe a lot to Dr. Bird for taking the Society through these two successful reviews. In addition, we should also thank the out going members of AdCom Profs. Makato Ando (Past Presi dent), David Davidson, Magda El-Shenawee, Dr. Sudhakar R. Rao, and Michael Shields.
