Abstract
The bill of materials (BOM) forms an integral part of material requirement control strategy in the process industries. The process product BOM is divided into a raw material BOM and a packing BOM to allow rapid and manageable separate calculations. Then by discussing the advantages of the basic types of BOM structure, a process BOM constructional model that focuses on the single-layer packing BOM and the Gozintograph-based raw material BOM is designed based on a proposed novel BOM disassembly strategy. Further a new material requirement improvement algorithm for process industries is proposed. Practice shows that the proposed models and algorithms are more targeted and effective, and can be used to solve problems such as the inefficient materials calculation and database data redundancy.
