Abstract
This paper presents an automatic radio levelling system based on microwaves in the 2.45 GHz band. In contrast to common optical levelling systems it doesn´t need line-of-sight sites. Therefore, it enables height detection measurements even through massive brick walls. Results of a height measurement taken through a 29 cm thick laid lime silicate brick wall will be reported as an example. The performance of an automatic levelling system will be explained.
