Abstract
A novel blind speech user interference cancellation receiver is proposed for high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA). The hard-decision HSDPA signals with known spreading codes and the soft-decision speech user signals with unknown spreading codes are estimated by a full Walsh transform correlator instead of the conventional RAKER. By regenerating and subtracting the speech user interference from the received signal, the desired HSDPA estimates may be further improved by multistage processing. Numerical results prove that the system performance can be considerably enhanced.
