Abstract :
A slotted-multimode waveguide antenna array is introduced to provide a broad reflection / gain bandwidth and high efficiency. Radiating slots are cut in the shorted wall of multimode waveguide which is short-circuited at one end and fed from the other end. A low profile and broadband waveguide feed network is adopted to feed the array. A 20-dB linear Taylor distribution is used in the corporate feed network synthesis. The measured reflection bandwidth is ges 21% based on VSWR les 2.The gain is les 30 dBi and the efficiency is les 70% over the entire bandwidth. The SLLs are less than -15 dB over the entire bandwidth.
