Abstract
In this paper, a tunable negative capacitor with effective capacitance ranging from -7pF to -12pF was designed and tested. This negative capacitor was simulated as periodically attached to a microstrip line and superluminal propagation was observed. Based on phase matching condition, such a microstrip line acts as a leaky wave antenna without the problem of beam squint. Further, we use the tunable negative capacitors to control the radiation angle of this leaky wave antenna.
